Taylor Bloxham achieves prestigious Heidelberg ISO 12647-2 colour certification

Taylor Bloxham has been awarded the Heidelberg ISO 12647-2 Certification due to their ability to create excellent high quality colour printing.

Taylor Bloxham had to go through a stringent process to prove it could achieve the highest standards in colour precision and consistency.

The Heidelberg ISO 12647-2 Certification has been running for a few year’s and enables companies to provide evidence to customers that the company has achieved the highest colour integrity.

The standardisation and certification process takes approximately a week and involves various stages including an initial assessment carried out by two Heidelberg System service colour management specialists. This also involved a technical check of Taylor Bloxham’s presses and systems.

To achieve the ISO, Taylor Bloxham had to show that its proof and press sheet matched the requirements specified in the ISO 12647-2 standard. Heidelberg experts performed a Print Colour Management (PCM) service, which is tailor-made to a company’s needs and includes advice on standardisation, press optimisation, process calibration, generation of ICC colour profiles and proofing.

After the PCM service was completed, a second assessment was carried out by Heidelberg’s ISO Certification Lab in Germany based on proofs, OK sheets and print run sheets.

Taylor Bloxham’s Technical Colour Specialist Chris Bolton states that achieving the certification will reinforce the company’s commitment to producing continuous high quality colour standards throughout the company. He says: “Taylor Bloxham has always been very serious in attaining high quality colour for our customers and now, by achieving certification, this has been officially recognised.”

He adds: “It also is a great reassurance to customers old and new that we are focused on quality and shows that we are committed to standardisation.” The certification lasts for two years.
